LIDC members mentor SOAS students on careers in development - SOAS-LIDC International Development Careers and Networking Reception

Organised by: SOAS Careers Service and London International Development Centre

This event brought together over 50 SOAS Master's students on international development and related courses and 20 more experienced LIDC members who have been working in international development (research, policy, operations, etc), for an evening of networking and drinks.

 

LIDC Director Prof. Jeff Waage introduced LIDC and Anna Marry, Communications Manager, and Dionysios Ntais, Communications Intern, talked about the benefits of LIDC membership and LIDC internships. LIDC members Helen Foster, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Gordon peters, Independent Consultant, and David Skinner, Save the Children, shared insights and advice from their careers in international development. The event finished with networking and drinks in small groups.
