9 June 2011, 17:30, London International Development Centre (36 Gordon Square, London, WC1H 0PD

Dr Kayunze is a Senior Lecturer in Development Studies at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Morogoro in Tanzania and a postdoctoral research fellow working on One Health Policy under the Southern African Centre for Infectious Disease Surveillance (SACIDS). In his presentation he will discuss whether the problem of lingering infectious diseases is more affected by health policies, low application of one-health approaches, or other factors, and how the burden of disease subsequently affects socio-economic well-being. After his talk he would like to spend some time discussing how health services for humans, livestock, and wild animals can be delivered in the Southern African Region.
