Speaker: Dr Corinna Hawkes, Head of Policy and Public Affairs, World Cancer Research Fund International

 
Dr Corinna Hawkes is Head of Policy and Public Affairs at World Cancer Research Fund International. A specialist in food policy and public health, she has previously worked at the World Health Organization (Geneva) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (Washington, DC). In 2009-10 she was a Fellow at the School of Public Health, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. As an independent consultant during 2008-2012, she provided input and advice on food policy, diet and health to governments, NGOs and international organizations around the world. She has a particular interest in agricultural and food systems approaches to addressing unhealthy eating. Her articles have appeared in a wide range of peer-reviewed publications. Corinna received her PhD in geography in 1998 from Kings College, University of London.
