CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: 5th Annual LCIRAH Research Conference

The 5th Annual LCIRAH Research Conference 'Agri-health research: what have we learned and where to next?' will take place in London on 3-4 June 2015.

Call for Abstracts

This year the LCIRAH annual conference celebrates its 5th year, providing an opportunity to gather researchers from around the world to examine and reflect critically on what we have learned from agriculture, nutrition and health research in the past five years and what the future research agenda should look like.

This year we are welcoming abstracts in following broad research themes:

  • Agriculture, poverty, diets and health/malnutrition
  • Value chain analysis in food systems, including crops and livestock
  • Impact of environment and climate change on agriculture, health and nutrition
  • Innovative metrics for agriculture and health research and evaluation

Abstracts submitted can be on both completed and ongoing research. Studies may be empirical, conceptual or theoretical in nature.

Authors should submit abstracts by 30 January 2015. Download the call

Travel bursaries

There are up to 5 bursaries available to presenters from developing countries to contribute towards travel costs and accommodation. Application for bursaries will be made available at the end of March 2015 after the abstracts have been shortlisted.

Invitation to the launch of the Agriculture, Health and Nutrition Academy

All conference participants are invited to the launch of the IMMANA Agriculture, Health and Nutrition Academy on 3 June. The initiative is a new global research network in agriculture for improved nutrition and health and will provide a platform for research networking and for training. Related side events will take place on the 2nd and/or 5th of June with further details to be announced in 2015.
