Global Panel on Food Systems and Nutrition meets in Accra

The event in Accra intends to engage with the national government and a wide range of stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of how agriculture and food systems can work together to improve nutrition for all. The Panel will also be discussing a series of important issues relevant to the region, notably: climate change, urbanisation and population growth.

- John Kufuor, Global Panel’s co-chair and former President of Ghana.
- Tom Arnold, Global Panel Member, Interim Coordinator of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement, director General of the Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA) and former CEO of Concern Worldwide.
- Akin Adesina, Global Panel Member and President of the African Development Bank
- Josue Dione representing Global Panel Member Rhoda Peace Tumusiime, Commissioner for Rural Economy and Agriculture at the African Union Commission (AUC).
- Elisio Contini representing Global Panel Member Maurício Antônio Lopes, present of the Brazilian Enterprise for Agricultural Research (Embrapa).
- Bukar Tijani (FAO Assistant Director General and Regional Representative) representing Global Panel Member José Graziano da Silva, FAO Director General.
