LIDC launches a cross-college Working Group on Humanitarian Crisis

In March 2014 LIDC convened a workshop to explore research interests and map expertise of Bloomsbury Colleges in the area of conflict and humanitarian aid. Academics from Birkbeck, Institute of Education, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and SOAS attended and agreed to form a Working Group on Humanitarian Crisis.

Over the next months, the group will decide on joint activities and explore funding opportunities.

Currently the group is developing a humanitarian short course to take place in spring 2016, and runs a regular debate series - for example on humanitarianism and the media.

If you would like to attend this meeting and/ or join the Group, please contact Gek Kwan-Lim, Programme Developer, LIDC.
