Vacancy: LIDC is looking for a new Communications and Public Engagement Manager

We are seeking to appoint a Communications and Public Engagement Manager. The post-holder will develop and deliver a new communications strategy and programme of services for LIDC members, including an enhanced social media and web-based presence, organisation of new events, newsletters, reports, podcasts and to significantly raise the external visibility and profile of LIDC and its member Colleges through these and other public engagement activities.

This post will require excellent IT, communication, organisational and management skills as well as experience of developing and delivering a communications strategy. The successful candidate will also have experience of producing reports and presenting to a variety of audiences. Ideally, the post holder will also have experience of working with national media. The ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships is also essential.

The position is available until June 2019 in order to cover a secondment. The salary will be on the School’s Academic Pathway scale, Grade 6, in the range £38,533 - £43,759 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
