LIDC-SOAS International Development Careers Networking Event

Monday, February 24, 2014 - 18:00 to 20:00

Venue: Brunei Gallery, Thornhaugh Street, Russell Square

Organised by: SOAS Careers Service / London International Development Centre

This event will bring together SOAS Master's students on international development and related courses and more experienced LIDC members who have been working in international development (research, policy, operations, etc), for an evening of networking and drinks.

For students - network and get that job in international development!

For SOAS students, the networking event will be an opportunity to find out more about LIDC and to hear about internship opportunities at the centre. Students will also be able to network with more experienced LIDC members and learn from their experiences (insight into career paths etc).

Who should attend:
The event is open to SOAS students at Master-level studying on international development and related courses.

To express interest, please contact the SOAS Careers Service.

For LIDC members - share your experience and help students get into international development!

LIDC invites its staff and alumni members, as well as other development professionals, to share their professional experience with students wanting to embark on a career in international development. The event will include brief presentations about LIDC and networking over a glass of wine, in an informal atmosphere. No prior preparation is necessary.

Who should attend:
LIDC is looking for interested alumni and staff members with 2+ years of experience in international development (research, policy, operations, administration, etc.), in any relevant sector, who would be happy to share their experience and offer career advice to students.

If you're interested in attending, please email your brief bio to LIDC. Please include the following: your education, your current job title, your previous jobs, and your main areas of interest in international development.
