LCIRAH PhD Supervisor Call now open

Leverhulme Centre for Integrative Research on Agriculture and Health (LCIRAH) is seeking applications from potential supervisors of PhD studentships in agriculture and health for 2012 onwards.
A key objective of LCIRAH is to foster interdisciplinary research linking agriculture and health across the Bloomsbury Colleges. Studentships will be awarded to two or more supervisors collaborating across institutions. Proposals must be led by supervisors from RVC, SOAS and LSHTM, but can have co-supervisors from all Bloomsbury Colleges. The three-year studentships (tuition + stipend at standard UK/EU rates) are for PhD research commencing in the 2012 academic year. It is expected that three or four studentship awards will be made in this round.
The deadline for application is Monday 9th January 2012.

LIDC has been awarded a £3.5m grant by the Leverhulme Trust to develop an innovative programme to link agriculture and health research for international development in the new Leverhulme Centre for Integrative Research on Agriculture and Health. This brings together research groups from the Bloomsbury Colleges, comprising economists, sociologists, anthropologists, nutritionists and epidemiologists to develop a programme of inter-sectoral and inter-disciplinary research, supported by new appointments, studentships and courses.
